Instructions

Thank you for purchasing your 25TAG, inside contains a brand-new genuine Apple AirTag that has been adapted to be silent with an extended battery that should last for up to 25 years, all housed in a shock-resistant protective case. It is ideal for attaching to virtually any item you own that might be at risk of going missing, to help you locate it at any time many years later via your Apple IOS device. Cars, bikes, boats, tractors, trailers, caravans, farm or plant machinery, lawnmowers, even garden ornaments. Just fit and forget.

GETTING STARTED

Use requires an Apple IOS or iPadOS device, such as an iPhone, with the latest software and an active iCloud account. DO NOT PULL THE BATTERY TAB until you are ready to pair the device. Place your iPhone next to it with the FindMy app open. Once you pull the battery tab, the AirTag inside will initialise and come up on your iPhone. You may have to wait a few minutes for it to appear on your iPhone, open the ‘Find My’ app select the ‘Items’ tab then press the + button to select ‘Add AirTag’, which can help make it appear quicker. Once it does appear follow the onscreen instructions to connect the 25TAG to your account just like any other AirTag, give it a unique memorable name and emoji to remember it with.

INSTALLATION

Once paired DON’T FORGET TO FULLY TIGHTED THE SCREWS on the back of the case, make sure they have no play in them and the lid is firmly closed. Find a clean dry hidden location to attach the device to your item, strong double-sided tape is provided on the rear to help affix it to a clean smooth surface, otherwise, the screw holes can be used and further tape can be placed over the edges of the rear lid. Locate the device where it will not be easily found, away from other wiring where it might be traced and where it will be kept dry.

TRANSFERRING OR DUAL CONTROL

Should you sell the device or the item it’s attached to and wish to transfer control to a different iPhone account, simply have the new iPhone within range ready to connect when you remove the device from your account. The AirTag will instantly look for a new account to be paired with and should then connect to the other account. AirTags can be paired with more than one account just follow the instructions in the FirdMy app to add another Apple account to be able to also track the same item.

USAGE

AirTags MUST NOT be used to track other people or property NOT belonging to you. To help prevent misuse and illegal tracking, after a while, the AirTag inside will alert iPhone users if they are travelling alone with one that is not connected to their account. This only happens if the item is moving with them without you. They cannot stop it transmitting without finding it and removing the batteries, which gives you time to know if something has gone missing and relocate it and why it is always best to locate it somewhere people can not easily find or get to. The AirTag inside this unit NO longer has a speaker so it will NOT make a sound when requested. Like any tracker, this is not going to stop someone from stealing your property, what it should do is give you an extra level of protection, as it does not need to be hard-wired for power, it can be hidden anywhere obscure where someone is not going to be able to get to it.

BATTERY LIFE

We only use the best batteries. Inside your 25TAG are two powerful 3500mah Energizer ultimate lithium batteries that come with their own manufacturer's 25-year leak-free shelf life guarantee and are approximately 18x more powerful than those in a standard AirTag. In testing, as AirTags are motion sensing, in an active environment such as attached to your car keys, they will normally last around 1 year before needing replacement, although when attached to something that does not move very often they can last up to 2 years. As AirTag battery life is affected by many factors battery life can not be guaranteed, but using this as a guide we would expect the battery in your 25TAG to last anything from 15-35 years.
